All I have is Now
All I have is now so I skinny-dip in it
All I have is now. So through it I seek,
and through it I find,
That I have nothing but something to give.
I was obliged to be born many times.
And birth, is so painful and chaotic
I always thought this is it, this is death,
this is the end of my life.
But then as a surprise I was being born. It was just the beginning.
So I know that all I have is now,
and I skinny-dip in it.
My breath between the sky and Earth,
my smile as a cool shower in the summer heat.
I close my eyes and strip away the fear and the shame,
My body beautifully scarred is still trembling,
But my heart is beating freedom, and my soul is already stained with it.
All I have is now and this season of fall I will get up and give,
But not tonight. Tonight I’ll stay with it.
